The City of Armadale in conjunction with True Sport is set to host four club development workshops between August and October.

The workshops which are open to local community groups will cover a range of topics to help volunteers learn how they can build the capacity of their group or organisation.

City of Armadale Mayor Henry Zelones OAM, JP said the series will cover a range of topics including emotional and physical wellbeing in children, how to access Kidsport, effective club governance and social media.

“This is a fantastic workshop series and we welcome volunteers from both sporting clubs and community organisations to attend. It will give volunteers detailed insight in how to build their club.

“The first workshop in the series Healthy Club Culture and Mindset Nutrition will kick off on Monday 13 August from 6 to 8pm at Piara Waters Pavilion.

“This workshop will explore emotional and physical wellbeing and how it is related to nutrition and body image in children.”
