Local Heritage Survey Review
The City of Armadale is currently in the process of reviewing and updating the Local Heritage Survey (formerly Municipal Heritage Inventory) of heritage places in our district. We are required to prepare and periodically review this inventory under the Heritage of Western Australia Act 1990.
The Local Heritage Survey is a document that lists and describes buildings and places that have played an important role in our history and/or are special because of their architectural style or association with an individual or the community.
The review process commenced in 2018 with nominations for places considered. In addition to the new nominations the document itself has been updated to a more contemporary standard and includes additional historical and thematic information. The draft Local Heritage Survey is now available for public comment.
The Draft Local Heritage Survey is available for viewing at Council Offices, 7 Orchard Ave, Armadale between the hours of 8.15am - 4.45pm Monday - Friday or downloadable below.
