JOHN DUNN MEMORIAL PARK BASEBALL BATTING CAGES
In the 2018/19 budget the City of Armadale committed to constructing purpose built baseball hitting practice bays at John Dunn Memorial Park.
Previously, the local baseball club utilised old disused cricket nets for practice which were removed during renovation of the front playing fields.
Works will include the supply and installation of 1 double bay baseball practice cage fabricated in galvanised steel and black chainmesh wire with a compacted "Quarry Sand" surface to replicate a typical Batters Mound.
Construction is engineer approved and made to Australian Standards with a working example already in operation at Springdale Oval.
The works have commenced with a realignment of the irrigation mainline around the site and should be completed by the end of October 2018 subject to improved site access after winter.
