Known as the Suburban Boy thanks to his rock hit of the late 1970s, Dave Warner is not only now an engaging raconteur but one of Australia’s finest wordsmiths, as you will discover during this sublime hour of readings, autobiography, mock heroic poems and original music.
Dave will detail his life growing up in the suburbs of the world’s most isolated city, and how this shaped a desire for music and an appetite for crime fiction.
He will talk about how and why he got interested in crime, and what makes him laugh, cry and shout as he sings his way through his original library of deeply Australian songs written over a span of 40 years.
This is one event you don’t want to miss.
Refreshments of wine and cheese will be available.
Places are limited and bookings are essential.
