Cloth Nappy Workshop and Subsidy
Learn how to use modern cloth nappies, protecting your babies whilst reducing plastics in landfill.
Kam Andrews will teach you all you need to know to start your cloth nappy journey. After the workshop you receive a cloth nappy valued at $30 and will be eligible to receive up to $100 refunded directly to you from the City of Armadale when you purchase cloth nappies or sign up to a cloth nappy hire program.
To be eligible for the rebate you will need to attend a Cloth Nappy Workshop. This ensures you have the information and support needed to successfully transition to using cloth nappies.
2.5 hour workshops with a 30 minutes morning tea provided. Attendees receive one free cloth nappy valued at $30 on the day of the event.
Please bring photo ID with your name and address as proof of residence. Without proof of residency, you will not be eligible for the $100.00 rebate.
Cloth Nappy Rebate
City of Armadale offer a cloth nappy rebate to reduce waste and support a clean, green and sustainable Armadale. All residents are entitled to the rebate and are able to apply for a 50% rebate of up to $100 for either the hire or the purchase of modern cloth nappies.
Did you know:
Infants can go through up to 7,000 nappy changes before the transition from nappy to regular underwear, with newborns using up to 12 nappies a day. Approximately 3.75 million disposable nappies are used each day in Australia and New Zealand, adding plastics and waste to landfills. As nappies contain plastic, they can take up to 150 years to breakdown in landfill.
