Access the terms and conditions for e-Rates.

Please read the following information, terms and conditions before registering for e-Rates.

If you wish to register to receive your rates in future via email, please complete the subscription registration. Once completed, you will receive a confirmation email that asks you to complete your registration by selecting a link. Once this has been completed, your request will be submitted for approval.

Things to be aware of before applying

  • If there is more than one owner of the property and both owners inadvertently apply, the notice will be issued (by default) to the email address of the last person who registered.
  • The e-Rates subscription request is not accepted as a change of address form. You can update your contact details online, alternatively call us on 9394 5788 or email us.  
  • Registrations received within 30 days of the issue date of any rate notice will take effect from the following rate period.
  • If the registration or amendment has not been received within 30 days of the next issue date of your rates notice, you will automatically receive your rate notice at the old email address provided or by post to your last known postal address.

Are you the owner or the agent of the owner?

If you are not the owner or the agent of an owner you are ineligible to register using this system. To be an agent of the owner your must have already registered with the City, please contact us on (08) 9394 5788 or email us

e-Rates terms and conditions

Following approval of your request:

  1. For the purposes of these terms and conditions reference to a rate notice also includes reference to any rate instalment notices.
  2. You agree to receive your rate notice by email and understand that a paper document will not be sent.
  3.  You confirm you are the registered owner or the agent appointed by the owner of the property being registered.
  4.  All future rate notices will be in the form of a PDF attachment to an email sent to the email address nominated by you on the registration form.
  5.  If you own more than one property you will need to register separately for each property. Separate email notifications will be issued matching the number of registrations received.
  6.  You must advise any other person to whom paper rate notices are currently being sent, that they will no longer receive paper rate notices as a result of your request. If you authorise an Agent to act on your behalf and want paper copies to be issued in lieu of your electronic rate notice registration, you must also notify the Agent and 'unsubscribe' from your e-Rates registration. The City of Armadale will not provide this information.
  7.  Registrations received within 30 days of the issue date of any rate notice will take effect from the following rate period.
  8.  You must regularly check your nominated email address for rate notices.
  9.  You agree that rate notices are deemed served when it reaches your internet service provider, whether or not you have opened or read the email.
  10.  An “out of office” notification will not be considered an undeliverable rate notice.
  11.  You agree that you will retain the rate notice information yourself electronically or by printing it.
  12.  If you change your contact details, you are required to notify the City of Armadale. You can update your details online or alternatively please contact the City on 9394 5788 or email us
  13.  Should the City of Armadale receive an electronic “delivery failure” notification from your email address your request for email delivery will be cancelled and a paper document will be posted to the last advised postal address.
  14.  You can unsubscribe from email delivery of your rate notice at anytime. 

How to unsubscribe

You can unsubscribe from e-rates at any time.

Once your request has been received you will receive a message confirming you have unsubscribed from e-Rates and all future Rates notices will be sent to you by standard post.
