Denny Avenue Level Crossing Removal

Say Goodbye to the Denny Avenue Level Crossing!

The Denny Avenue Level Crossing in Kelmscott is the first crossing to be removed under the METRONET Level Crossing Removal program. Find out more here.

On April 1, the boom gates at Denny Avenue level crossing will go down forever and vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists will be directed to alternate crossings until the new underpass on Davis Road is opened shortly after this disruption.

To remove the crossing and complete the new underpass, essential works will take place with impacts to surrounding roads and a number of stations on the Armadale Line.
Works will take place 24 hours a day to ensure work is completed as quickly as possible.

Specific information about night works will be provided to impacted residents and businesses. Road users can expect significant traffic management around Albany Highway, Davis Road, Railway Avenue, Streich Avenue and Third Avenue.

Local businesses in Kelmscott will remain open, and we encourage you to support them before, during and after the level crossing closure. Access to businesses will remain open at all times.

During this time there will be impacts to the Armadale Line between Gosnells and Armadale stationsLocal bus routes may need to deviate which could result in a longer journey.
Please allow extra time and plan your journey with Transperth transperth.wa.gov.au or call the Transperth InfoLine on 13 62 13.
