The City is committed to assisting individuals, groups and organisations which provide services and support to residents of the City of Armadale. The City will consider requests for financial assistance in the form of:
- Community Grants
- Scholarships
- Donations

The City provides two rounds of community grant funding each financial year with the aim of supporting community organisations and groups to deliver initiatives which benefit the local community.
Community Grants 2023/2024 Round 1- NOW CLOSED

- Applications Open 11 March 2024
- Applications Close 8 April 2024
- For Projects from May 2024 to May 2025
The amount of funding available for a community grant varies from $1,000 to $5,000 depending on the category. The City welcomes applications from incorporated not-for profit community groups and organisations, or registered charities including sporting, welfare, educational, arts, cultural, children, youth, seniors and other relevant groups.
Grant Categories
Community Grants are available in the following categories:
- Equipment: Maximum $1,000 per application (the City’s funding will not exceed 50% of the total project budget and the 50% must be matched by a cash contribution).
- One-Off Community Event or Project: Maximum $2,500 per application (the City’s funding will not exceed 50% of the total project budget, including in-kind contributions).
- Extended Community Project: Maximum $5,000 per application (the City’s funding will not exceed 50% of the total project budget*, including in-kind contributions).
*NB 50% co-contribution required may be waived where the majority of funds requested is for the purpose of engaging a professional facilitator to deliver an event or project

The City has developed the following tip sheets to assist you in your funding application.
Community Grant applicants are required to consider accessibility in the application and acquittal process. The following resources can assist you with planning accessible and inclusive events and programs.
Each year the City provides $300 scholarships to high achieving Year 10 students. One student is nominated by the Principal from each secondary school in the area.

General Donations
Community groups in Armadale are invited to apply for a donation to support one-off projects that benefit the local community.
To find out if you are eligible for a donation please contact the Community Development Team on 08 9394 5000.
Requests for a General Donation must be submitted in writing to info@armadale.wa.gov.au or by letter. DO NOT use the Sporting, Recreation and Development Donations Form.
Sporting, recreation and development donations
Individuals who have been selected to represent the State or Nation in an interstate or overseas competition in a sport, recreational, educational or arts activity are eligible for one donation per financial year.

To apply please complete and return the Donation application form below. This must be submitted before your travel date. We cannot accept applications for events that have already taken place.
Donations of vouchers to Armadale Fitness and Aquatic Centre can be made to organisations toward fundraising and promotional initiatives.

Donations can be made to public schools for the purpose of delivering a school breakfast program.
Funds will supplement donations to the school by food relief charities and other donations and can be used to purchase additional food items or necessary equipment. Eligible schools will be invited to participate at the beginning of each school year.
