Armadale wins bronze at Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards

Armadale’s best practice approach to tourism has been acknowledged with a bronze award in the category of Local Government Award for Tourism at the Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards last month.

Mayor Henry Zelones OAM, JP said the City of Armadale has focused on tourism over recent years, achieving several objectives of the City’s Tourism Strategy.

The recent launch of our Perth Hills Armadale Regional Guide showcased just how many quality accommodation and food providers are based in Armadale, as well as the many attractions on offer for residents and visitors to enjoy.

The Regional Guide is available at the Perth Hills Armadale Visitor Centre, or online and offers a go to booklet for residents hosting family and friends over the festive season.

It is often surprising to learn of how many attractions are available in your local area. When having friends and family to stay for the holidays, it is always great to have options so use the guide to share beautiful Armadale with them.

Bin Collections over Christmas and New Year period

As rubbish/recycling bins will not be emptied on Christmas Day and New Year’s day, all collections in the weeks following these two days will be completed one day later than your normal collection day.

For those two weeks only, bins that are usually emptied on a Monday will be emptied on a Tuesday, and so on through the week (so, if your bin(s) are usually emptied on a Friday they will be emptied on the Saturday). Services will return to normal on Monday 8 January 2018.
