The City covers an area of 560 square kilometres and has two Volunteer Bush Fire Brigades.

  • Bedfordale Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade
  • Roleystone Karragullen Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade

The Department of Biodiversity Conservation and Attractions, Parks and Wildlife Service is responsible for fire management on their own lands.

 WA Fire and Rescue Service is responsible for all structural fires, and bushfires within the gazetted fire districts.
