Business Local Outreach Program

Business Local is the Small Business Development Program’s outreach advisory service providing access to free advice and guidance to small businesses owners across Western Australia.

Through their outreach service they also deliver enterprise skill development sessions. These sessions are presented by providers with expertise in a range of areas such as:

  • Digital literacy
  • Financial literacy
  • Strategy thinking and innovation
  • Business systems
  • Contracting and tendering
  • Marketing

LinkedIn Hands on Workshop

LinkedIn is fast becoming one of the most popular social media platforms for B2B generation. With an influx of businesses now using LinkedIn as their go to platform for social media marketing, it is important that your first impressions are lasting impressions. Envision Armadale Speaker Series

Connecting Community and Business - Town Teams

As part Envision Armadale, the City of Armadale is hosting its second ‘Connecting Community and Business’ event, providing the chance for local groups to network and create potential partnerships.

The event will also feature a presentation from Dean Cracknell of the Town Team Movement.

Town Teams are groups of businesses, residents and community groups that work together to create stronger communities and improve a place or area.

The power of local knowledge

Ron Dwyer-Voss, international expert on community development, community engagement, and non-profit governance and management, will lead an interactive workshop about ‘The power of local knowledge - measuring impact and telling our story’. Ron teaches community leaders and community development practitioners how to effectively and meaningfully measure community development efforts in ways that leverage local community power and inspire future action.

Spring into Armadale

Music, art and culture, food and markets, trails, walks and workshops, City of Armadale’s Spring into Armadale has returned for 2018.

With a bigger eclectic calendar of events throughout August to 30 November, this year’s festival boasts over 50 unique community events promoting the rich tapestry of culture, arts, food, music and people in the Armadale Perth Hills region.

This year, culture lovers and visitors to the City will also have a chance to go in the running to win an iPad or other bonus prizes.

The export of City of Armadale goods and services has grown 57% in the last five years.

In the City of Armadale, Manufacturing had the largest total exports by industry, generating $346 million in 2016/17. That’s the equivalent of roughly 35 million wheels of brie cheese being manufactured and exported.
