Fencing

A building licence is required for a fence if:

• The fence is to be located in front of the residence on a lot and where
  the maximum height is to be greater than 1.2 metres above the ground level
• The fence, regardless of where it is constructed, is greater than 1.8 metres in height
• The fence is constructed of masonry (i.e. bricks, blocks etc) and is
  greater than 1.2 metres in height
