On Sunday, 6 December, Christmas cheer will again light up the City of Armadale at the annual Carols by Candlelight and Christmas Parade.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the City hosting the much-loved community event that marks the start of the festive season.

Kicking off in the early hours of the evening in the Jull Street Mall, the Christmas Parade, featuring a variety of colourful characters and local community groups, provides a wondrous spectacle for the young and imaginative.

Leading the crowd to the stunning setting of Memorial Park, Santa Claus will give his Christmas address and share some special words of wisdom with the children in the lead up to Christmas.

Armed with songbooks and LED candles, the audience will be treated to a musical spectacular with performances by local schools and community choirs supported by highly acclaimed and award winning Armadale City Concert Band led by Musical Director Amanda Johnson.

This year the City is pleased to welcome back Soloist Katherine John, Classic Sounds Choir, and the Roleystone Christmas Choir. They will be joined by choirs from Armadale Primary School, Pioneer Village School and John Wollaston Anglican Community School.

A Salvation Army Christmas Appeal Food Bank will be stationed in the park, and guests are urged to donate food items to help brighten the Christmas of families in need.

Carols by Candlelight is proudly brought to you by the City of Armadale and Lend Lease through the Armadale Shopping City. The event is free and families are encouraged to attend early to get close to the parade.
