The City of Armadale will recognise and celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures at the NAIDOC Celebration Day on Tuesday 7 July, 10am to 3pm.

“Our Indigenous culture is a very important part of our community. This free community event is a chance to celebrate local Indigenous cultures with music, entertainment, food and activities for the whole family.

“There will be performances by a range of well- known local indigenous musicians including The Merindas, Jonathon Ford and the Baldja Boys, and The Struggling Kings.

“Young dancers from the Mungart Yongah Aboriginal Dancers will be performing and there will exhibitions for local indigenous artists.

“There will also be a very special area for our local Elders, along with plenty of activities to keep kids of all ages entertained.

“There will also be a range of exhibitors at the event.

“I encourage everyone to come along and experience our indigenous cultures and enjoy the festivities of the day,” said Mayor Zelones OAM JP.

NAIDOC Celebration Day will be held at the Champion Centre on the Bob Blackburn Oval and club rooms, Challis Road, Seville Grove.
