The Armadale Golf Course will be maintained and operated by Turfcare WA from 1 July.

At the 25 May Council meeting a decision was made to keep the course operating until the end of January 2016. Several companies were approached to operate the course under the same scope until 2016.

“Programmed Turnpoint has done a great job maintaining the Course over the past few months and has built up the standard of the Course as well as patronage,” said Armadale Mayor Henry Zelones OAM JP.

“Turfcare WA has provided the City with a competitive quote to continue operations of the Course. All aspects of course operations including maintenance, course opening hours, operations of the kiosk and green fees will be the same as at present.

“The Clubs have been advised of the change to a new operator and it is expected that the transition will be smooth with no disruption to the Clubs or other course patrons.

“We are working very hard to try and find a solution that both benefits the community and is financially sustainable in the long term and appreciate the community’s patience through this process,” said Mayor Zelones.

The City has called for Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the long term options for the Armadale Golf Course, with results of the process expected to be presented to Council by August.
