City of Armadale residents are being invited to rate local services and facilities in the 2016 Community Scorecard.

Conducted by independent research agency Catalyse, the biennial survey is an opportunity for residents to provide their own performance review of the City, highlighting which services are excelling and identifying those that may require improvement.

City of Armadale Mayor Henry Zelones OAM JP, said the purpose of the survey is to understand the needs of residents and evaluate how the community perceives its efforts towards key performance indicators in the City’s Strategic Community Plan.

“When planning for the future, the City’s first priority is to ensure the community’s needs are met,” he said.

“The survey will assist the Council to prioritise where the City should be allocating resources and will provide insight into how we can better communicate with residents,

“While budget restraints restrict us from achieving every service the community could possibly ask for, understanding what is important to ratepayers helps us to make informed decisions in determining the City’s priorities for the future,

“Survey results will also act as a benchmark study to see how we’re performing against other councils.”

Open to all residents aged 18 years or older, the survey will run from 18 July to 5 August and is available online here.

Responses will be processed by Catalyse and will remain confidential.
