Precincts returned to the City of Armadale’s District Zoning Scheme from the Armadale Redevelopment Authority

The Armadale Redevelopment Authority (ARA) has returned town planning controls for several of its former precincts to the jurisdiction of the City of Armadale by a process called "Normalisation" (the ARA was the responsible authority for town planning and development approvals in these areas generally between 2004 and December 2011).  From the dates cited (in brackets) Town planning and development approvals in the following areas are once more back under the jurisdiction of City’s District Zoning Scheme - Town Planning Scheme No.4 (TPS No.4) and the Metropolitan Region Scheme (MRS):

  • Armadale Strategic Regional Centre precinct east of Commerce Avenue – Jull Street & Orchard Avenue Armadale (21st December 2011);
  • South Armadale High School and Industrial Area precinct – South Western Highway Armadale (3rd December 2011);
  • CALM former depot precinct – Albany Hwy Mt Nasura (3rd December 2011);
  • Brookwood Estate – Rowley Road Forrestdale (3rd December 2011);

All planning enquiries and applications for development approval should now be made directly to the City of Armadale (as the responsible authority).
