You're Welcome

You're Welcome: Community Access for All Ages and Abilities

The You're Welcome project is an assessment of local Council facilities and local businesses providing clear access information to people. The two main objectives of You're Welcome WA are to:

  • Enable people with disabilities, their families and carers to participate in community life by encouraging community and businesses to make their services and facilities accessible; and
  • Provide accurate easy to obtain information so that people with disabilities, their families and carers are able to access their local communities.

The City of Armadale has coordinated the "You're Welcome WA Access Initiative" project locally, which was developed by the Disability Services Commission (DSC) in partnership with the Western Australian Local Government Association (WALGA) who funded part of the project. The City's project provides an opportunity to provide clear information about access to local facilities and amenities to people of all ages and abilities living in or visiting the locality.

For information about adding your business or facility please contact the Seniors / Access and Inclusion Officer for more information on 9399 0652 or info@armadale.wa.gov.au.
