Burglar Beware
The City plays an active role in the Office of Crime Prevention's Burglar Beware. Burglar Beware was developed in response to the unacceptably high level of residential burglary in WA in 2002/03. It is a multi-faceted, whole of government commitment to reducing residential burglary

State Government Senior Security Rebate
Under the scheme announced by the Department for Communities, from 1 July 2009 until 31 March 2012, WA Seniors Card holders can make a one-off claim for the Safety and Security Rebate of up to $200, which will cover a portion of the total purchase and installation cost of security devices.
Eligible devices are:
- Home intruder alarms (monitored and unmonitored)
- Security door and window screens,
- Security sensor lights and
- Deadlocks
Householders can arrange a free security consultation with RAC to discover what products may be suitable. To arrage a consultation, call the RAC on 1300 360 504.
