Roleystone Green Waste Facility
Located on Springdale Road the Rolestone Green Waste Facility is open between 8am and 4.45pm on Saturday and Sunday only. The facility is closed Christmas Day, Good Friday and New Years Day.
The facility accepts green waste only, except on three 'bulk bin' weekends a year when other waste will be accepted. Check your recycling calendar or contact the City on 9399 0111 for these dates.
How much does it cost to take a load of green waste to the tip?
Green Waste
- Up to 1.3 cubic metres of green waste costs $23 or one tip pass.
- Up to 2.3 cubic metres of green waste costs $32 or two tip passes.
- A maximum of 2 tip passes can be used per entry.
- No tip passes can be used for loads over 2.3 cubic metres. Loads over 2.3 cubic metres will be charged on volume.
Bulk Bin Weekends
- On "Bulk Bin" weekends, sorted loads of rubbish will be accepted
- Up to 1.3 cubic metres of sorted rubbish costs $30 or one tip pass.
- Up to 2.3 cubic metres of green waste costs $44 or two tip passes.
- All rubbish must be sorted on "Bulk Bin" weekends.

Dispose of your recyclables for free on 'bulk bin' weekends
Loads containing only the following materials can be disposed of for free on 'bulk bin' weekends:
- whitegoods eg fridges, freezers and washing machines
- scrap metal including small amounts of wire, rinsed steel and aluminium cans
- car batteries
- cardboard, packing boxes, magazines, newspapers (must be flattened and clean)
Green waste is not a free item as Council must pay for it to be mulched. If green waste is combined with a load containing the abovementioned items, the trailer load will incur standard fees.
