The role of the City of Armadale's Health Department is to ensure that residents and visitors to Armadale enjoy a clean, safe and low risk environment. The Department provides a wide range of services directed at the maintenance, promotion and improvement of public and environmental health. These services are grouped into the following broad program areas:
The City's Environmental Health Officers regularly inspect food outlets within the municipality. They conduct a regular food sampling program, analysing a broad range of food for sale against the requirements of the National Food Standards Code.
