Security Bond & Footpath / Kerb Security Fee

If the contract value stated on the building application is $20,000 or greater then a security bond and Footpath and Kerb Security Fee is required. The administrative Footpath and Kerb Security Fee is to inspect the council verge, crossover or kerbing and administration costs involved with the Security Bond. The security bond is in case of any damage to any council land, crossover or kerbing.

If the licence application is for a swimming pool, retaining wall and/or earthworks and the works are less than $20,000 then a security bond will also be required. These works can involve cranes and trucks that pose a risk to council property.
